St.Peter's Basilica in Rome
Our first stop will be Rome. You can see how much I love this city....we named one of our daughters "Roma"! That is her standing under her name :-) On this trip, in Rome, we will of course be visiting St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. It is hard to describe what you'll see there, except that it is astounding and you will feel very small when inside. And this, of course, is the point. The Flight Over...
Let me start with the flight over to Italy. Some people don't like to fly, but that is one of my favorite parts of the trip. There is really no other sensation in the world like flying above the clouds! Ok, let me just say that if you've never had pizza in Italy....YOU'VE NEVER HAD PIZZA! Ok, maybe that's a bit over the top, but I will say it is something entirely different from what we have in the States. Now me being from NY, I am very partial to NY pizza as well But that's a whole nother thing ;-)))Italian pizza is truly in a class by itself.
